A Shabby Layout

Hello Crafters…
Thank you so much for your visits to my blog, for joining me on my crafty venture and also to those of you who took a Walk in thewoods…if not, please do.
Today, I have something different for you, no altered project, Bless you…LOL! Re cycling ,,,YES, of course! I have done a layout for a change with some DIY elements.I have to complicate the project and not leave it simple right???
Here we go…

The LO has 5 layers in total, I love layers and textures. So have used some texture paste and TCW stencils here. The pp are from Recollections pack which has some bright s colors in pink and have used one in Kraft too. Stamped in doilies and numerals using Bo Bunny stamps.
The DIY element here is the message board for journaling…yes, it’s a medium weight chipboard coated with home made chalkboard paint in green!!!
You know what that means…I can change the messages every day…isn’t that cute. Once I have a few successful projects on the chalkboard paint, will come back with a tutorial.

The frame too is made with corrugated cardboard from packaging, dry brushed with gesso to give a white washed look, edged with Prima chalkers, torn to reveal the corrugation in places and some lovely pink chalkboard paint splatters! Cool eh??? Stamped The title on one of the sides of the frame.
The flowers are all made with TH tattered florals die and have a flat back pebble as the center. Have used up some net from my daughter’s old frock  as a layer beneath the purple flower and some hand dyed cheese cloth beneath the other 2 flowers. MDF leaves heat embossed in gold add the sparkle here.
Have you seen a bow on a bow…look at this!
So that’s pretty much it…an unusually small post to day! However, I would like to link this to the following challenges…
Beyond Grey Challenges- 4 colors and MDF leaves
Creative Moments –anything goes, 3 layers
The Sisterhood of Crafters – Lots of layers ( 5 here)
Creative Card Crew _Twine ( have used natural jute twine)
Tando Creative- Alphabets and numbers ( have used PP with alphabets and stamped numbers too)
Crafty Catz - Happy Birthday

Thank you so much for stopping by and do let me know what you think about this project and the DIY stuff.
Am waiting….
Until then,
Happy Crafting and Re Cycling.
Hugs.
