Hello Crafters....
This project is a total dedication to the flavor of the season...LOVE ! It's all about the red, blacks, white and roses and all the lovie dovie messages!
I have re cycled some old envelopes lying at home, some from my daughter's first bday invites and some from online shopping of the dies! In total I have used 2 big envelopes and ! medium sized to make the photo frame.
Firstly, I inserted cardboard from packaging into the big envelopes and slipped in the flaps to form a book cover. Later covered the front and back with black PP from the DCWV stack. For the frame, I slipped in chipboard from an empty cereal box into the envelope and used a heart die to cut out the window . The frame is in white and the heart is embellished with red bling and have used the flourish stamp from Hero Arts to do up this panel. The cheery Lynn doily heavily inked in fired brick and black soot peeps out from the frame. A small label at the bottom says it all.
The 2nd panel is what I enjoyed doing the most. The Triangular bunting with the cute alphabets makes this page so special with the heart in the center(the die cut from the window of the other panel) being the focal point. I have used an unbranded stamp here some love birds and inked the heart with fired brick and black soot. A few handmade roses and buds laced with glitter, baker's twine bow, cheery Lynn olive branches and flourish completes the embellishment in this panel!
I love how both the panels look together, the black and white contrast with the flash of red is just perfect for the current theme.
The front cover of the photo frame had me thinking for sometime! I have a mini had made envelope with a bling flap and has Velcro fastener below it. when you open the flap....aaaaa! there is space to write up that personal note for your loved one! It has some cherry blossom blooms and heart stamped from Hot Of The Press. The mini site on a doily from cheery Lynn and have heat embossed to ornate ovals in black which can hold mini photographs!
Finally, have you heard of "raining hearts" ???...Well, look at the back cover...that says it all!
Hope you liked my creation for the valentine theme and this is totally inspired from the current challenges am linking this project to....
