Circle of love

I am here today with another recycled project and going with the theme of shabby is chic also participating in
 http://dcamchallenge.blogspot.in/

I have done a mini shadow box project out of the empty foam tape ring! Firstly painted the entire ring in white and stuck pattern paper inside the ring. Made a base for it from corrugated cardboard and covered that too in PP.

Next i took out an old photograph of me and my mom..i guess i was about 10mns old in that! Loved the vintage look of the photo and decided to go shabby chic with laces and subtle coloring.I decided that the sentiments will get the importance here as it was a dedication to MY MOTHER.

I took the Whimsy stamps(family sentiments),i purchased from Diecuts and more and and stamped the sentiments in handmade paper and distressed the edges with walnut stain. Cut the photograph using the scalloped oval die and placed them all in the circle and added some bling around the photo.

Next used the scalloped rose diecut and cut out some white flowres. I just colored the edges with the micia inks...there are some lovely pastel shades. I just wanted a light burst of color and not too much. Attached a few leaves to it and my Circle of love was ready.

I am totally in love with the Timholtz weathered clock die and realised that it can be used in so many projects. This diecut fits the mouth of the ring sooo perfectly and i stamped the musical note on it. Before fixing this to the ring, i sealed the box with tranparent sheet and then the clock die cut. Perfect...it gave the look of "going back in time".

Well how can shabby chic be complete without laces??? So i took out this pure white hacoba lace and pleated it to fit the back of the ring and sealed it with hot glue. Next i went around the ring with some pastel pink satin ribbon and attached a few flowers and leaves on the top too.

My Lovely dedication to "amma" was ready. Hope you all liked it.
Thanks for stopping by.
