Never give up....tag

Recently purchased the prima doll stamp and tim holtz weathered clock die from Diecuts and more and am super exited about it. Have been using either one of them in my projects.

This is my first mixed media tag and have not actually planned anything. I first stamp the doll image with archical ink and then started coloring with the few distress inks that I have. I have used walnut stain,fired brick and faded jeans for the doll and used my water brush for the first time too!

As for the tag, I just stamped mustard seed, peeled paint and wild honey on a acrylic sheet misted a few spritz of water and then just rubbed the tag for a lovley water color effect. Used my heat gun to dry it.
The back ground was ready , next I tookThe Crafters workshop template and randomly sponged fired brick on one corner of the tag. Next I took a stencil from itsy bitsy and using the granite texture paste and pallete knife created some texture and after that used the Kaisercraft musical stamp and randomly  stamped it.
 
The BG was finally complete and then I started layering the tag. I cut out a slightly bigger tag from red cardstock and mounted this tag and then stuck the weatherd clock die cut .
The prima doll stood proudly over the die cut as if watching all  work being done! I stamped a small sentiment from Leeza Gibbons...wishes and dream and distressed the edges with walnut stain and fixed it with a foam tab.
Finally for the embelishments, cut out some buttons using the die to match the color scheme on one end and a contrasting tim holtz tattered flower in black just above the sentiment.

My tag was ready and I punched a hole and fixed an eyelet and slipped a yellow ribbon. The final tag eneded being so colorful and the prima doll was a faint replica of my 4yr old daughter with the short hair,hair band, tunicfrock and black shoes and so I call this " the sakshi tag".
