Sweet love..with a surprise twist!

Hello Crafters,
It's valentines day today and everywhere it's all about love, roses, pink and red!
I decided to make a valentine card from a mom to a daughter which is why I named it "Sweet Love" and yes by the end of the post, you will see the surprise and this is a twisted easel card!

Pink, red and white are dominant colors here and I have used a cute image from Micia as the focal point here. The main panel has 3 layers of PP from DCWV and have distressed the edges off the white CC and inked it with vintage photo.
Colored the image with distress inks and given it a lovely frame using Cheery Lynn Cuties (B151) and inked it heavily with fired brick! There are 24 flowers in total!
The ornate corner is from Joy crafts. I have made heart windows on the main panel, the center one is a die cut from memory box and the smaller hearts are punched. Behind the window , I have stuck vellum. Very soon, you will know why!
The base panel has 2 layers, CC and yes, the surprise...an altered envelope! I have covered the envelope(an old invite cover) with PP from DCWV and distressed the edges. For the flap I adhered a decorative border die cut from Memory box.

An ornate label with the "love you" sentiment is embellished with mini hand made roses and yes a cute little inkpot and feathers from Cheery Lynn(B369). Oh! I soooo love this, it actually makes it very special and it is an indirect hint that you can write some love notes, somewhere with the quills...but where???

The next surprise is when the flap of the envelope is opened, there is a small heart booklet with pages for journaling!!!The cover for the booklet is made with empty cereal cartons.

Ready for the final surprise....
have a look, the reason for the vellum is.....

Some more pics to do the talking!

Hope you all liked it, do let me know. These are my amateur steps in card making and I rally would appreciate feed backs for improvement too.

Thank you sooo much for stopping by.
Until then,
Happy Crafting and Re cycling,
Hugs.
